The answer from a game of the show "Jeopardy!" relates to the founding of Easterseals

History

Easterseals DC MD VA has been at the forefront in identifying emerging community needs and pioneering innovative solutions for decades.

Your life and mine shall be valued not by what we take but by what we give.

— Edgar Allen, Easterseals Founder
A newspaper clipping from 1972 includes a young boy who was served by Easterseals

Easterseals was there for me after being born with a paralyzed right arm from a brachial plexus injury at birth. Their skills and resources allowed me to live a near normal life and [have] a 37-year career in the fire service. This wouldn't have been possible without Easterseals.

    The Kids Had a Blast

As always, the kids have a blast at weekend respite events! On our one hour drive home, I got to hear all about it. All three fell asleep. Thank you! We're thinking we'll soon enroll our 1 year old.
