Board of Directors Welcomes Advocate for Justice and Community Needs

An attorney with more than 30 years of experience, Michael Sklaire has joined the Board of Directors of Easterseals DC MD VA. 

Currently Managing Shareholder of the Northern Virginia office of the law firm of Greenberg Traurig, Sklaire is a committed social justice advocate. He is a member of the DC, Maryland, and Virginia Bar Associations, and has had adviser roles with the Equal Justice Foundation and Ayuda, an organization that provides legal and other services to low-income immigrants. 

“I have worked with nonprofit organizations in the DC region for many years in various roles,” said Sklaire. “The mission of Easterseals matches the many parts of my personal and professional life. I’m the son of a veteran who benefitted from adult day care opportunities later in his life. I’m the son, husband, and father of teachers and administrators in early childhood development. And I’ve worked on numerous pro bono matters on behalf of those who are simply fighting for access and equality. Being able to assist with an organization that so capably addresses all of those needs, while focusing on this region, is very impactful and important to me.”
