Home Essentials Donation Drive
In honor of Cohen Veterans Network’s Annual Day of Service, our staff delivered home essentials to Fisher House. And – we're still collecting!
Shop the Amazon Wish List to deliver items to our clinic or drop them off at 1420 Spring Street, 3rd Floor, Silver Spring, MD.
Fisher House provides free, temporary lodging for military and veteran families while their loved ones receive medical treatment at a VA or military hospital. These homes support healing, reduce financial burden, and keep families together when it matters most.
ACT for Caregivers Support Group

Connect with others and gain skills to take care of yourself while caring for a person with PTSD, chronic illness, disability, or special needs. Learn skills to support your own mental health, create a Self-Care Plan, and build community with other caregivers. Focus on you and build emotional flexibility to tackle the challenges of caregiving and self-care. 6 weeks of 60-minute virtual sessions. See flyer for details.
DBT Skills Group for Teens
Dates: Begins on September 19 and continues on every following Thursday for 12 weeks

A 12-week skills-based group in which facilitators create a safe space to guide teens in learning effective tools to help them manage overwhelming emotions. Participants will learn how to tolerate distress, enhance emotional regulation skills, decrease reactivity when triggered, and increase interpersonal connectedness with others, including but not limited to peers and family. Facilitators will work to enhance self-esteem and growth, as well as improve problem solving capabilities. See flyer for details.
LGBTQ+ Support Group for Active Duty and Veterans
Dates: Begins on June 26 and continues on every following Wednesday for 10 weeks

This group will provide a safe, inclusive space for ALL LGBTQ+ service members and veterans to discuss the intersection of identities and the impacts of minority stress, while growing strategies to cope with such impacts. Group meets at the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Easterseals, 1420 Spring Street, Silver Spring, MD.
Virtual Comedy Writing Workshop with Amelia Bane
Dates: 2nd Tuesday of every month
